Halloween

October 31st. Halloween.

For me this is my favorite holiday and in all honest it’s one that I don’t really celebrate that much. Don’t get me wrong. My wife and I will walk to kids around so they can get their hands on the good sweetie goodness that is the sugar high but other than that… No Halloween parties. I don’t really dress up anymore but yet… Halloween is one of the coolest days to celebrate.

Now… Don’t go all crazy because I said celebrate. It’s not like I grab my cauldron and broom stick and a handful of eye of newt. No. It’s just a nice holiday where if you wanted… You can be someone else and get sugar for it. You can be on the naughty list and still get stuff! And it’s almost like you should to. No candy? Get a pranky. That really doesn’t go on too much anymore. But maybe it should come back?

Jess and I were taking our kids out for trick or treating tonight and it seems like less and less people hand out candy. Most places the kids went to we’re given handfuls of candy because even not many kids were even out. Let me break it down for ya… We only saw two Elsa costumes. For a popular costume and character… Only two. I’m thinking more and more people are not wanting to celebrate this holiday. I know some religions think it’s the Devils night. But it’s trick or treating. It’s cool.

Maybe this was just where we went… Maybe other places are better. But I’m going to wrap this up with this statement. If ya got one more day? As in Friday you could trick or treat? Go do it. It’s fun.

Wade needed LeBron as much as LeBron needed Wade

image

Got into a conversation today about LeBron and wade how Wade has 3 trophies and LeBron 2. So yes…. Wade has one more trophy. Well it’s obvious he got two of them from LeBron. But what about the first one? Here is the roster of the 05-06 team:
C - Shaquille O’Neal, Alonzo Mourning, Michael Doleac, Earl Barron
PF - Udonis Haslem, Wayne Simien
SF - Antoine Walker, James Posey, Jason Kapono
SG - Dwyane Wade, Derek Anderson, Shandon, Anderson, Dorell Wright
PG – Jason Williams, Gary Payton
—— —— —— —— —— ——

image

This was a solid team. Williams was one of the best PG that year. Haslem made Shaq better. Wade actually had a good backup with Anderson. Same with Williams with Payton.

Just for fun…let’s look at the Cavs roster for that year:

C – Žydrūnas Ilgauskas, Anderson Varejão, Martynas Andriuskevicius
PF - Drew Gooden, Donyell Marshall, Alan Henderson
SF - LeBron James, Sasha Pavlović Stephen Graham/Ira Newble
SG - Larry Hughes, Flip Murray, Luke Jackson
PG - Eric Snow, Damon Jones
—————–
They lost in the second round to the Detroit Pistons with Chauncey Billups, Ben Wallace, and Rasheed Wallace. Detroit was a force. They hit hard in the center and Billups was lights out on the perimeter. Oh…And Prince was stellar as well. So who defeated Detroit that year? Hmmmmmm…. miami

The only point I’m making is you can’t compare Wade getting three championships to LeBron getting two. LeBron was the Cavs. He had no help. Wade got two more because of LeBron. The first trophy LeBron got for Wade was with him leading in 5 areas which included points per game in the playoffs with over 27 and you would think the highest scorer would have been last in assists right? Wrong. LeBron also led in assist per game with over 5. Wade didn’t lead in any stat area that season or playoffs. And pretty much a repeat the following year.

image

So yeah. Miami…. You might still have Wade… But Wade didn’t get you those trophies. No offense… at least when LeBron left you guys he gave you two championships. When he left Cleveland… we were left with a press conference spectacular. Should be kissing his feet rather than making comments. The point in all of this is…Wade…. you got two extra rings thanks to LeBron. LeBron… you got two rings for being on a team that had more scorers than teams with just one good player. The man averaged the same points as he did with the Cavs. So what did this social experiment prove? Give LeBron a team and he will win.

image

Again… not a LeBron fan here. But I am looking forward to this season because he is getting a team. And it’s not going to be like 05-06. This year could be the best nba basketball we’ve had since Jordan and Magic. If anything… LeBron leaving IS WHAT THE NBA HAS BEEN NEEDING. The story of the Cavs vs the Heat when LeBron left was a one sided affair. Now that LeBron had left the Heat and back to Cleveland…. we have ourselves a great story. THIS IS WHAT THE NBA NEEDS!

Now it truly begins

Story Idea

I had a crazy dream last night and when I do I try to write them down. I write it down and ended up liking some of the concepts of it so I turned it into a story idea. Let me know what you think. I can go further into detail if needed and names of places and things are not forged in stone.

Story idea

Human race has been annihilated after a gruesome war with an alien race. We won. But the casulties were high. The remaining humans now live on neo earth, a space station in space above earth. To generate the power humans use children to use as energy to power.the station. Children are use because they are able to generate blood and recover faster than adults. This though is not a known fact because the neo government kidnaps the children. The general public believes a group calling themselves The UNIT is responsible for the chikdrens disappearance.
